2020 CPR Guidelines

Updating your recent certification to the 2020 Guidelines

If you certified with us in CPR/BLS between January 1st, 2021, and April 29th, 2021 you are welcome to update your certification under the 2020 CPR Guidelines.

Note: If you've certified between the dates listed above your certification is already valid exactly as-is today.  However, you have the option to take a short training and test to re-issue your certification under the 2020 Guidelines at no charge.

How to re-issue your certification under the 2020 Guidelines

1
Log into your ProTrainings account at www.protrainings.com/login with your username and password.
2
On your Dashboard under your Completed Certifications look for the 2020 Guideline update message below your course.  Click on the Begin 2020 update process now link to get started.  See the screenshot below for reference.

3

Begin by reviewing the 2020 Guidelines Update video, and answer a list of questions about the covered curriculum.  Upon answering all of the questions click on the green Save and Update Cert button.  You must answer all of the questions correctly for your card to be re-issued under the 2020 guidelines.

Note: If you do not answer all of the questions correctly you will receive a message displayed in a red banner at the top of your page.  The questions answered incorrectly will be highlighted in yellow. (See the screenshots below for reference)

4
Upon answering all of the questions correctly you will see a message in a green banner at the top of your page stating, " Congratulations! Your cert has been re-issued under the 2020 guidelines!"  To print your updated certificate click on the red Print Your Card Now button as shown below.

Note: Updating your certificate to the 2020 Guidelines will NOT change the date issued or renew by date.  It will only update the fine print to say you've successfully completed the course under the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines.
