OSHA Compliance

Are ProTrainings courses OSHA compliant?

Yes!  ProTrainings Bloodborne Pathogen and CPR/First Aid (Classroom or Blended) courses are all OSHA compliant!  More on this below-

Bloodborne Pathogen Courses-

Here at ProTrainings, our Bloodborne Pathogen courses follow the OSHA guidelines for Complete 29 CFR 1910.1030 OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standards.

Each of our BBP courses is intended for people who need OSHA-compliant Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control training, according to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 standard, as part of their job requirement because they may face occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease.

For California Bloodborne Pathogens for Body Art, we follow OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030 and Infection Control and CA AB300.

Note: The following counties in California do not approve our California Bloodborne for Body Art course at this time: Los Angeles, San Diego, and Stanislaus.

Does OSHA require Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) training?

OSHA does not mandate or enforce BBP training on anyone. OSHA was created to protect employees (or those exposed) from BBP's spreading. All facilities should look at OSHA guidelines along with their state regulations to find out what BBP training they need to meet for their state's requirements for their facility and all employees. If there are no state regulations saying that a facility must have BBP training, then the facility does not have to do it.

Not sure which ProTrainings Bloodborne Pathogens course to take?

We have several Bloodborne Pathogen courses tailored to different industries- Body Art, Healthcare, and General Workplace.  Check out our Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)- Body Art, Healthcare, or General Workplace help article to find which course is the best fit for you!

CPR/First Aid Courses-

Our CPR/First Aid Classroom or Blended (online + hands-on) courses meet the general industry standards for OSHA required First Aid,  29 CFR 1910.151(b).  This also applies to the construction industry, 29 CFR 1926.50(c)

The basic purpose of these standards is to assure that adequate first aid is available in the critical minutes between the occurrence of an injury and the availability of physician or hospital care for the injured employee.

Which ProTrainings CPR/First Aid course should you take?

OSHA requires the skills to be demonstrated so an in-person Classroom course or a Blended (online + hands-on) course would meet this requirement.  The following ProTrainings Classroom and Blended courses would meet OSHA's requirements:

Not familiar with or not sure how to complete a Blended course?

A Blended course starts out with the online course (refer to the 3 courses listed above).  Upon completion and purchasing of the online course, we offer 2 ways to add the hands-on skill component.  Check out our How to add hands-on help article to find out more about the 2 ways we offer hands-on skills.
