CPR guidelines are developed by the international scientific group, ILCOR. Independent training groups like the AHA, the American Red Cross, ProTrainings, and others use ILCOR’s guidelines to develop their own curriculum.
The only people who use the American Heart Association’s curriculum are independent instructors who pay the AHA to do so. These same instructors may also pay other groups to use and teach their curriculum.
